'Nothing spectacular expected from Indo-Pak talks'
Mumbai, Jun 24: Dampening expectations ahead of the Indo-Pak talks scheduled to begin on Thursday, Jun 24, External Affairs Minister S M Krishna said "nothing spectacular or dramatic" can be expected from the upcoming foreign secretary level talks.
"I don't expect anything spectacular or dramatic because the Indo-Pak relationship is so complex," External Affairs Minister S M Krishna told media personnel on Wednesday, Jun 23 when he was in Mumbai to visit cartoonist R K Laxman who is undergoing treatment at Breach Candy Hospital.
Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao is set to land in Islamabad on Thursday, Jun 24 to meet her Pakistani counterpart Salman Bashir. This is the first time an Indian diplomat will be visiting Pakistan since the Mumbai terror attacks in Nov 2008.
