New York, June 24 (ANI): Ten days after he was apprehended from a jungle in Pakistan's northern Chitral region, the American construction worker, who claimed to be on a solo mission to hunt down and kill Al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden, has arrived back in the US.

Gary Brooks Faulkner, 51, arrived at the Los Angeles International Airport hours after he was freed by Pakistani agencies due to his deteriorating health conditions.

According to the New York Post, a local television channel showed Faulkner, who is said to have been suffering from severe kidney ailment, walking out of the airport.

However, Faulkner appeared defiant, saying he would complete his mission as soon as he gets fit.

"I would describe the situation, like: I got dialysis. So anyone got a kidney they want to lend me so I can finish this up?" the American 'Rambo' told a local television channel soon after his arrival. This is not about me. What this is about is the American people and the world. We can't let people like this scare us. We don't get scared by people like this, we scare them and that's what this is about. We're going to take care of business," he added.

Faulkner, however, parried questions about his stay in Pakistan and did not reveal much.

"Everything is going good. Unfortunately, guys, I would really, really like to give you guys more information, but there's a lot of people that I have to protect also," he said. (ANI)
