Vancouver G-20 protesters head for Toronto
Vancouver (Canada), June 21 (ANI): The Vancouver Peoples' Summit is sending a busload of protesters to Ontario to take part in G-8 and G-20 demonstrations next week.
The 15-person bus with the words, "The Peoples' Vision" painted on the side will arrive in Toronto on Thursday.
According to a Winnipeg Post report, the Vancouver Peoples' Summit is made up of a collection of groups concerned about climate change, poverty, infant mortality, housing the homeless, and many other issues G-8 and G-20 leaders will be talking about in Ontario.
Vancouver Peoples' Summit organizer Hunter Moyes said there has been talk about moving away from protest violence to get governments to listen.
Violent protests have marred several of the G-8 and G-20 meetings, which are hosted by a different country each year. (ANI)
