Sensex ends 305 points higher
Mumbai, Jun 21: At 4:10 hrs, BSE Sensex was 17,876.55 up 305.73 points and NSE Nifty was 5353.30 up 90.70 points. All the BSE Sectoral indices ended on a strong positive note. Metal shot up by 5.2 percent gain. The sectors including Zinc, Aluminium, LME Copper, Lead and Nickel gained 2 to 3.5 percent.
Bank, Realty, Capital Goods, FMCG, Auto, Power and Healthcare indices also surged by one to 2.66 percent. Broader indices rose by 1.2 percent each.
Sterlite Industries which went up by 7.85 percent, was the top gainer on Nifty. Tata Steel gained by 6.55 percent and Hindalco went up by 5.68 percent. SAIL made a gain of 3 percent and Jindal Steel was up by 2 percent.
The 30-share BSE Sensex closed 1.74 percent up and the 50-share NSE Nifty rose 1.72 percent up.

Sensex shoots up; Metal gains 5 percent
Benchmarks continued the day on back of positive global cues, as European markets were also trading 1.5 percent higher.
BSE Metal Index went up by 5 percent. The other shares of like Bank, Realty, Capital Goods, Auto and Power indices also surged high from 1.5 to 2.7 percent. Around 2069 shares advanced where as 1039 shares declined and 207 remained unchanged on BSE.
Sterlite Industries was the top gainer, up by 7.91 percent. Tata Steel was up by 5.60 percent, Hindalco surged by 5.47 percent, ICICI Bank was up by 3.53 percent, Unitech up 3.47 percent, Tata Power up 3.12 percent and Jaiprakash Associates was up by 2.96 percent.
Among the broader indices, Edelweiss Capital, Mahindra Life, Andrew Yule and Tata Tea were up by 5 to 12 percent. The shares of Kwality Dairy, GTL and Corporation Bank lost 2 to 5 percent.

All sectoral indices continues in green
At 12:10 hrs, BSE Sensex was 17,891.18 up 320.36 points and NSE Nifty was 5358.80 up 96.20 points.
Benchmark Sensex witnessed further rise in Asian markets. The sectoral indices continued in green. There were only four stocks in red on Nifty which include HCL Tech, Reliance Power, GAIL and HUL.
BSE Metal Index went up 4 percent. Realty, Capital Goods, Auto and Healthcare indices surged by 1 to 1.9 percent.
Top gainers in the market were Sterlite Industries trading up by 7.14 percent; Tata Steel up by 4.57 percent; Hindalco up by 4.30 percent; SAIL up by 3.32 percent; ICICI Bank up by 2.97 percent; Tata Motors up by 2.45 percent and M&M,2.33 percent.
The losers in the midcap space include Kwality Dairy, MTNL, Indraprastha Gas, GlaxoSmith Consumer and Corporation Bank, which nose dived 1 to 5 percent.

Mkt starts on a strong note, NSE at 5300 points
At 9:20 hrs, BSE Sensex was 17,789.45 up 218.63 points and NSE Nifty was 5324.15 up 61.55 points.
Nifty started the day on a strong note, trading at 5322 yo 59 points and Sensex was also up 216 points, at 17787. CNX Midcap went up 76 points and BSE Smallcap Index gained 84 points.
Sterlite Industries rose 6 percent among the frontliners. Hindalco, Tata Steel, Jindal Steel & Power and SAIL surged by 1 to 3 percent.
The other gainers in the trading were M&M, PNB, HDFC, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Reliance Capital, Axis Bank, DLF, Tata Power, Idea Cellular, Reliance Communications and Reliance Infrastructure.
ABB was the only loser on Nifty.
Among the broader indices, Reliance Mediaworks surged 2.7 percent and REI Agro gained 2.5 percent. Insurance company, Max India went up 6 percent and Bajaj Finserv was also up by 2.6 percent.
