Maoist leader Bapi Mahato arrested
Ranchi, Jun 20: Maoist leader Bapi Mahato, the main accused in the Jnaneshwari Express train derailment in West Bengal, has been arrested by a joined operation of CBI officials, West Bengal police and Jharkhand police. He was picked up from a guest house. This will be the fourth arrest in the train attack case.
The Central bureau of Investigation (CBI) is investigating the case which claimed over 148 lives and injured several hundreds of people.
A section of the track was removed which derailed the train headed to Mumbai and was then hit by another train in Jhargram in West Midnapore, on May 28 2010.
CBI had rewarded one lakh for three Maoists, who were the main suspects behind this case.
