Double explosion in Istanbul metro station
Xinhua, Jun 20: Two consecutive explosion in Istanbul metro station killed three people and injured several others on Saturday, Jun 19 night.
The explosion happened in Istanbul's Taksim Square metro station and many people rushed out even as thick smoke came out from inside the station, said the local sources. The cause of the two explosions are not known.
Atleast 20 people had been hospitalized with injuries. Five people are in a critical condition.
Some eyewitnesses said that the smoke was due to some garbage catching fire.
