Security forces kill two militants in a Kashmir encounter
Baramulla (Jammu and Kashmir), June 19 (ANI): Security forces gunned down two Harakat-ul-Mujahideen (HuM) militants in an encounter on in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla District.
The encounter which started on Thursday evening ended on Friday evening.
Security forces identified slain militants as Sajid and Umair.
According to Brigadier R. K. Jaiswal, security forces asked militants to surrender, but they did not heed and started to firing, which forced security personnel to retaliate.
"We killed the two militants in the morning. One is Sajid and the other is Umair. Both of them are foreign militants of HuM. The information that we got is that they were planning for a suicide attack in Srinagar," Brigadier R. K. Jaiswal said.
Security forces have also recovered arms and ammunitions from them.(ANI)
