Second arrest in Nitin Garg murder case
Melbourne, Jun 18: A 16-year old boy has been charged in Australia, over the murder of Nitin Garg on Friday, Jun 18.
Another teen was arrested over the murder case and presented before the court on Thursday, Jun 17.
"A 16-year-old male from Yarraville has been charged with accessory to murder and has been bailed to appear at a Children's Court at a date to be set," police said.
Nitin Garg, an Indian student was attacked as he walked through Cruickshank Park in Melbourne's West on his way to work at a Melbourne burger restaurant on January 2. He managed to stagger to his workplace before collapsed and took his last breath.
The murder came after the series of attacks on Indian nationals who have arrived in increasing numbers for the education in Australia and the prospect of gaining a permanent visa. Both Australian and Indian government condemned Garg's killing as a henious crime on humanity.
