Israel sanctions plan to ease Gaza blockade
Jerusalem, Jun 17: Israeli Security Cabinet has approved the plan to ease Gaza blockade on Thursday, Jun 17, informed the statement from the office of Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli Prime Minister.
The statement said that 'Israel would liberalise the system by which civilian goods enter Gaza and expand the inflow of materials for civilian projects which are under international supervision,' according to the new plan.
But it also said that the nation would 'continue the existing security procedures to prevent the inflow of weapons and war material'.
Israeli Security Cabinet, consisting of 15 members said that it expects the international community to work toward the immediate release of Gilad Shalit, the Israeli soldier who was caught by Gaza-based militants in Jun 2006.
