Vehicle registration to be available online

Mumbai, Jun 16: Maharashtra Government decided to make the registration of new vehicles online, for the ease of customers.

Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Minister for Transport informed that Maharashtra Government would soon introduce a system of registering newly purchased vehicles online to avoid the long wait at the transport offices.

The vehicle dealers generally approach the transport office for registration and the process will take a couple of days, as per the existing system. With the new system, dealers will be able to register their vehicles in a day, with out having to approach the transport offices.

Minister also said that this facility is available in 24 offices in the big cities including Mumbai, Thane and Pune.

Learner's licensed are issued in a day and permanent licences are delivered at the door step, with in three days.

He added that it would be extended to the other cities and towns across the state.
