5.7-magnitude quake rattles southern California
San Diego, Jun 15: A 5.7-magnitude earthquake hit southern California on Monday, Jun 14 night. However, there were no immediate reports of loss of life or damage to property.
According to the US Geological Survey, the quake was centered five miles southeast of Ocotillo in Imperial County about 85 miles east of San Diego at at 9:26 pm (PDT).
As per reports, this moderate quake was an aftershock of the Easter Sunday quake of 7.2-magnitude that rattled Baja California and Southern California.
There have been about 45 after shooks of the deadly Easter quake reported till now. According to seismologists, the aftershooks can go on for months and years.
