Suzuki rolls out superbike priced Rs 12.75 lakh

New Delhi, Jun 14: Suzuki Motorcycle India, the wholly-owned subsidiary of the Japanese automobile behemoth, launched its superbike GSX-R1000 on Monday, Jun 14.

Priced at Rs 12.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), GSX-R1000 is the costliest bike from Suzuki in India. The two-wheeler giant also rolled out Bandit1250S, with a price tag of Rs 8.5 lakh.

“This launch is in line with our aim to deliver outstanding technology and performance to the Indian market. We are pleased to offer exciting riding experience to pro-bikers," Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SMIPL) Chairman Katsumi Takata said in a statement.

In the first year, Suzuki is aiming at selling 200 units of the two new two 1000 cc and 1255 cc bikes, the company said in the statement.

Two other premium bikes that Suzuki currently sells include Hayabusa and Intruder, which cost Rs 12.5 lakh each.
