Nadia death case: Pacheco to move Goa High Court for bail
Panaji, June 14 (ANI): Former Goa Tourism Minister Fransisco Mickey Pacheco will move the Goa bench of the Bombay High Court for anticipatory bail on Monday.
The High court will also hear an anticipatory bail petition filed by Pacheco's aide, Lyndon Monteiro.
On Thursday, the Panaji Sessions Court had rejected Pacheco's anticipatory bail plea.
The crime branch has accused Pacheco of being involved in the mysterious death of Nadia, who was a close friend of him.
Police have registered a case against Pacheco under sections 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and 201(causing disappearance of evidence of offence) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Nadia had died on May 30 after being treated for almost 15 days in hospitals at Mumbai and Chennai.
The postmortem report conducted by Chennai hospital has revealed that there were two serious injuries, possibly by blunt object, on her body. (ANI)
