Cong must apologise for letting Anderson go: Karat
Patna, Jun 14: Congress continues to face flak over the Bhopal Gas Tragedy case with senior CPI(M) leader Brinda Karat demanding a national apology from the party.
“The Congress should tender an apology to the nation for giving safe passage to Warren Anderson," Ms Karat, a Rajya Sabha MP said at a public rally here on Monday, Jun 14.
Dismissing the Group of Ministers (GoM) constituted last week to probe into the gas leak, she also demanded an independent inquiry into the case.
“The UPA government has devised a tool in the form of GoM to put sensitive issues on the back burner," Ms Karat said.
