Benchmarks end in green; one-month gain for Nifty
Mumbai, Jun 14:At 4:10 hrs, BSE Sensex was 17,338.17 up 273.22 points and NSE Nifty was 5197.70 up 78.35 points.Nifty ended at one-month high for the fourth consecutive day.
All the sectoral indices were in green, where Technology was on the top as its index was up by 3.7 percent. Oil and Gas,
FMCG, Power, Metal, Banking and Capital Goods indices surged 1 to 1.9 percent.

Sensex surges; Bharti, NTPC, DLF, BHEL southbound
At 2:00 pm, BSE Sensex was 17,215.58 up 150.63 points and NSE Nifty was 5160.00 up 40.65 points. The complementary factors were the shares of oil and gas, technology, metal, FMCG, select financial and power companies.
The top gainers were Infosys- up by 2.78 percent, Wipro -up by 2.72 percent and BPCL- up by 2.60 percent. HCL Tech was up by 2.41 percent, Reliance Infrastructure was up by 1.85 percent. Hindalco gained 1.58 percent and Tata Steel, 1.56 percent.
The selling pressure witnessed for the companies including Bharti Airtel which was down by 2.7 percent, NTPC, BHEL, SBI, Idea and Suzlon Energy.
The other active shares on exchanges include SpiceJet, Tata Steel, Reliance Industries, SBI, Infosys, ICICI Bank and Tata Motors.

Markets witness buying; IT, metals, banks surge
At 12:10 hrs, BSE Sensex was 17,236.90 up 171.95 points and NSE Nifty was 5165.05 up 45.70 points. Sensex was trading higher on positive global cues. The leading sectors were technology, metal and oil and gas, which went up by one to two percent.
The other gainers in the market were banking, select infrastructure companies and FMCG.
Nikkei went up by 1.6 percent. The broader indices were trading 0.7 to one percent higher. On BSE, 2051 shares advanced where as 1051 declined and 206 remained unchanged.
Frontliners like Infosys was up by 2.52 percent, Wipro up by 2.38 percent and HCL Tech up by 1.96 percent. Tata Steel surged 1.52 percent when Hindalco surged 1.83 percent. HDFC also went up by 1.60 percent.
The losers include BHEL, Jaiprakash Associates, Idea, Maruti, Sun Pharma, ONGC, ACC, Tata Motors and ABB.

Benchmarks opens in green: RIL, Infy lead
The benchmarks opened on a positive note on Jun 14. BSE Sensex was 17,240.38 up 175.43 points and NSE Nifty was 5168.20 up 48.85 points at 10:00 am.
Nifty has continued the upmove for the fourth consecutive day, as only three stocks out of fifty were in red on Nifty. The Asian markets trading higher, were also favorable.
CNX Midcap rose 45 points to 7937. BSE Smallcap went up by 54 points to 8691. 558 shares advanced on NSE where as 125 declined.
Reliance Industries was up 1.9 percent as the company bought 95 percent stake in Infotel Broadband on Friday, Jun 11.Reliance Communications surged 1.7 percent. HUL was up 1.7 percent.
Sterlite Industries, Hindalco, Reliance Infrastructure, Reliance Capital, ICICI Bank, Infosys, IDFC, DLF, Unitech, Bharti Airtel and Idea Cellular among the frontliners also shot up as witnessing the buying interest.
Among the PSU banks, Bank of Maharashtra, IDBI Bank, Central Bank, Bank of India and UCO Bank gained 3 to 6 percent.
Axis Bank, ABB and PNB were the trading in red.
