Protest in Srinagar against death of a teenager
Srinagar, June 12 (ANI): Incidents of stone pelting and disrupting the traffic were reported from different parts Srinagar in protest against the death of a teenager Tufail Ahmad Mattoo in a stone-pelting incident.
On Friday, Tufail received head injuries during a clash between stone-pelting demonstrators and security personnel at Ghani stadium near Rajouri Kadal in the city.
Immediately after the incident, a flash strike hit parts of the city.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police claim that the cause of Tufail's death is still not clear.
Locals, however, have alleged that security personnel hit Tufail on the head which resulted in his death.
The administration has sent Tufail's body for postmortem to ascertain the exact cause of the death. (ANI)
