Swami Nithyananda sex tape is genuine: CID
"The video footage is genuine. It is untampered and there is no indication of alteration in the video. As far as image comparison is concerned, that is still to be done," CID's deputy IGP Charan Reddy told a news agency.
To a question on the efforts to trace the actress, whose whereabouts is unknown, the CID officer said, "She is not an accused in this case. She will definitely come. When she comes, we will examine her."
The sex tape hit the TV media in Mar 2010 leading to the massive scandal unfolding against the religious leader. The CID investigating into the sex scandal of the Swamiji sent the video to the forensics lab to ascertain if it is genuine or not.
The Karnataka High Court is scheduled to pass the order on the bail plea of Nithyananda on Friday, Jun 11.
