New Delhi, Jun 11: Home Minister P Chidambaram will seek the voice samples of Lashkar-e-Taiba founder Hafiz Saeed, during his visit to Islamabad, later this month.

Chidambaram is likely to raise the issue of cross border infiltration during his visit to Islamabad for the SAARC Interior Minister's Conference. He will be visiting Islamabad on Jun 26, where he is also expected to have bilateral meetings with the Pak leaders.

Chidambaram is expected to meet Rehman Malik, the Pak Home Minister to discuss about the status of Pakistani investigations and trials in the Mumbai attack case. He will seek the voice samples of Saeed and other terrorists who are involved with the Mumbai attack 2008. He will ask about the follow ups on the terrorists India had given to Pakistan, detailing the evidence against Saeed and others in 26/11.

India has been asking the voice samples of the handlers whose conversations were intercepted during the attack, as it will be helpful for the Mumbai attack investigations.

Shahid Malik, Pakistan High Commissioner, met Chidambaram at New Delhi on Friday, Jun 11 to discuss the issues related to his trip.
