Iran foreign minister harassed in Dublin
Dublin, Jun 10: Manouchehr Mottaki, Iranian foreign minister was attacked by the protesters in Dublin on Wednesday, Jun 9.
Mottaki narrowly avoided being pelted with eggs during an appearance at Dublin's Institute of International and European affairs. His visit was surpassed by the angry clashes with several Iranian antagonists.
The minister's security guards bashed two protesters who interrupted his appearace. Two men were kicked and pushed downstairs, but not seriously injured.
Several rebels hurled eggs and kicked at Mottaki's car when he departed, outside the venue too. Guards had to shield him with an umbrella. Irish police arrested three antagonists.
Mottaki condemned the UN Security Council vote to impose new sanctions on Iran's nuclear program.
