Pak: Hindu killed, communal tension arises
Islamabad, Jun 9: Four unidentified men wearing uniforms of a paramilitary force killed a Hindu businessman and kidnapped his son in the southwestern Pakistani city of Quetta.
Reports of the incident, in which the businessman, identified as Ramesh Kumar, was shot dead by the men disguised as paramilitary personnel, emerged on Wednesday, Jun 9.
The miscreants reportedly intercepted the businessman and his son, Rajesh Kumar, when they were passing through Satellite Town area of Quetta on Tuesday, Jun 8.
The four men were planning on kidnapping the father and the son. However, when the duo resisted, the men opened fire and the father was killed.
The incident has led to communal tension. People from minority Hindu community gathered and shouted anti-government slogans. They burnt tyres and blocked Jinnah Road demanding immediate action against the culprits.
