NATO trucks set on fire in Islamabad: 7 dead
Islamabad, Jun 9: Gunmen blazed the trucks carrying supplies to the NATO troops in Afghanistan, killing seven people near Islamabad, informed police on Wednesday, Jun 9. Four left injured as the attackers also torched more than a dozen vehicles.
More than 10 attackers riding motorbikes opened the fire at around 50 trucks and oil tankers. The attack took place on late Tuesday, Jun 8 night, at Tarnol about 15 kilometres outside the Pakistani capital.
The police officials also informed that there were no information about any arrests, yet. The police are investigating the terror incident.
This is the first attack happening so close to the heavily guarded Pakistan capital.
