Amarnath Yatra 2010 registration begins
Bangalore, Jun 5: The registration for Amarnath Yatra 2010 kicked started on Saturday, Jan 5 and will be open till Aug 22 for Pahalgam route while Aug 23 is the last date for Baltal route.
Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) has informed that registration counters have been set up in 121 designated branches of JK Bank located across India. The counters will be open from 3 pm to 6 pm on all working week days and 1 pm to 4 pm on all working Saturdays.

Yatris can avail helicopter services on two routes Baltal – Panjtarni – Baltal and Pahalgam – Panjtarni- Pahalgam. The one way for Baltal- Panjtarni and Pahalgam-Panjtarni priced at Rs 2425 and Rs 3800 respectively.
The option of online reservation is expected to be cancelled for the year due to security reasons.
The Amarnath Yatra 2010 is set to begin on Jul 1 and last till Aug 24.
The pilgrimage to the Amarnath Caves, the Hindu Shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, is popular not only among Hindus but people cutting across religious and national boundaries. The yatra is held annually during the 45-day season around the festival of Shravani Mela in the months of Jul-Aug.
