War may break out at any moment: N Korea

Geneva, Jun 4: Ri Jang Gon, the North Korean dipolomat told the United Nations forum that the Korean Peninsula could anticipate a war break out at any moment, on Thursday, Jun 3.

He said that the present situation of the Korean Peninsula is so grave, to expect a war breakout at any moment. He blamed South Korea and United States for worsening the situation over the sinking of Seoul's warship, while speaking at the Conference on Disarmament.

He also said that US and S Korea, both nations were seeking further sanctions against the isolated government in Pyongyang and 'fabricated' the cheonan incident for the purpose.

“Our sons and daughters in uniform and entire people are on full alert and readiness to promptly react to any punishment and retaliation and any sanctions infringing on our state interests with various forms of tough measures including an all out war," Mr Ri added.
