Lahore, Jun.4 (ANI): Pakistan's National Security Committee (NSC) has sent its recommendations to the government for the upcoming talks between Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi with his Indian counterpart S M Krishna on July 15.

During a meeting of the NSC, which was chaired by Senator Raza Rabbani, the committee underlined the need of holding 'meaningful dialogue' to resolve decades old issues like the river water distribution and the Kashmir dispute.

The recommendations have been sent to the Foreign Office (FO) for consideration and devising the strategy for the forthcoming foreign ministerial level talks between India and Pakistan, The Daily Times reports.

Talking to reporters after the meeting, which was attended by several top leaders, including former Information and Broadcasting minister Sherry Rehman, Rabbani said that the committee's suggestions could not be implemented "within a day or two", as they were related to important national issues, including the country's foreign affairs and defence.
