Rathore to spend more days in jail
Chandigarh, May 31: Former Harayana DGP and accused in Ruchika Girhotra's Molestation Case SPS Rathore will spend some more days in prison as his bail plea has been deferred til June 1st by Punjab and Harayana High Court
Rathore"s lawyer wife Abha Rathore had filed the review petition on his behalf in the High Court on May 26 seeking bail, a day after he was sentenced.
The single vacation bench of Justice Ajay Tewari deferred the case till tomorrow.
On May 28, High Court Judge, Justice Gurdev Singh had deferred the matter for today as the CBI couldn't get the copy of the verdict on that day.
In her petition, Abha Rathore had alleged that the sessions court on May 25 passed the order “under media pressure". She filed for bail plea on the grounds on Rathore's poor health.
Rathore was jailed after a sessions court had enhanced his prison term to 18 months for molesting ruchika girhotra , who later committed suicide, after three years.
