New York, May 29 (ANI): A US court has ordered the authorities to deport Aftab Khan, who was arrested in connection with the failed Times Square bombing plot, to Pakistan.

Khan was arrested in Massachusetts on May 13, and has been accused of providing financial help to Faisal Shahzad, the failed plotter of the May 1 terror attack.

A U.S. immigration judge in Boston said Khan, 27, must leave the country, The Daily News reports.

Khan was arrested along with two others, all from Pakistan, in raids conducted across locations in Boston suburbs.

Earlier, US Attorney General Eric Holder had said the men have links with Shahzad, but the exact nature of those connections are still unclear.

"There's at least a basis to believe that one of the things that they did was provide him with funds," Holder had said.

Officials said the New England men have been arrested on "administrative charges" related to immigration violations. (ANI)
