President Patil meets CPPCC Chairman

Beijing, May 28 (ANI): The visiting President Pratibha Devisingh Patil met Jia Qinglin, the Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) here on Friday, and the duo reportedly discussed issues of bilateral interest to the two countries.

Later, President Patil left to attend the reception to be hosted by Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC).

Earlier in the day, she visited the famous 'Forbidden City' in the heart of Beijing and expressed admiration for the grandeur of China's past.

President Patil also visited the Temple of Heaven, which is much bigger than the 'Forbidden City' and is situated in an area of about 27,00000 square metres. By Praful Kumar Singh (ANI)
