India condemns terrorist attacks in Lahore
New Delhi, May 28 (ANI): The Government of India has strongly condemned the terrorist attacks that caused mayhem in Pakistan's Lahore city on Friday.
"Government strongly condemns the terrorist attacks in Lahore that have claimed the lives of scores of innocent people and injured many more," said Ministry of External Affairs in a statement.
"Our condolences go out to the families of those killed by these acts of terrorism," the release further stated.
In the morning, at least 45 people were reportedly killed and several others injured in the terror attack.
Armed gunmen opened fire shortly after Friday prayers and threw grenades at two Ahmadi mosques in Lahore's Model Town and Garhi Shahu areas.
At least 30 bodies had been shifted to different hospitals across the city, officials said.
In Model Town, police said one gunman had been arrested and another killed. (ANI)
