Prime Minister calls on President Patil
New Delhi, May 24 (ANI): The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, called on President Pratibha Devisingh Patil at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday.
The two leaders discussed about internal security and President's forthcoming State Visit to the People's Republic of China.
They also discussed about various issues of national and international importance during their 45-minutes-meeting.
President Patil will embark on a five-day official visit to China from May 26-31 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relation between the two countries.
During her visit, President Patil would visit Beijing, Luoyang and Shanghai.
During the delegation level talks with Chinese President Hu Jintao, the two sides will discuss bilateral, regional and global issues.
President Patil will also meet other Chinese leaders, including Premier Wen Jiabao and the Chairman of the National People"s Congress Wu Bangguo.
In Luoyang, she will dedicate to the Chinese people an Indian-style Buddhist temple, which was inspired by the Sanchi Stupa in Madhya Pradesh. (ANI)
