GJM leader behind Tamang killing: IGP

Siliguri, May 22: Around 45 people have been arrested in the killing of All India Gorkha League president Madan Tamang by the police. The search is on trace the a Gorkha Janamukti Morcha (GJM) youth leader, who is the alleged mastermind of the murder.

Inspector general of police (North Bengal), KL Tamta said, "Dinesh Gurung, president of GJM Yuba Morcha town committee is the key planner behind the killing of Tamang in Darjeeling ,".

Beside that he also told that the police patrolling had been intensified to restore confidence among the hill people

Meanwhile Tamang was yesterday on May 22 stabbed to death by unidentified men during clashes by rival Gorkha groups in the hill town of Darjeeling.
