Shibu Soren not ready to quit the leadership
Ranchi, May 21: Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren said that he is not ready to resign from his post. He was addressing the reporters in Bokaro, on Thursday, May 20.
Shibu Soren also added that he would contest the elections to become a member of the state assembly in order to resume his leadership. He did not mention the name of the seat from which he would fight the asssembly poll.
Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had agreed to share power in rotation for 28 months each, on Tuesday, May 18. Soren was expected to give up his post to BJP national general secretary Arjun Munda on May 25, as per the deal for the formation of the BJP-led government.
Soren now made it clear that he can continue as the CM Of the state till June 30. “I am not in hurry. I will not resign unless it was necessary," said Soren.
His change in the decision has given a new twist in the political crisis prevailing in Jharkhand.
