Shahzad planned to hit 4 other US targets: Reports
New York, May 19: A television channel reports that Faisal Shahzad, the Pak-American terror suspect, had planned to attack four other US targets if his Times Square attack was successful.
The report is carried out by FOX 5, quoting a source saying that Shahzad has told the investigators that he intended to attack four other locations in the US.
Shahzad was arrested by the FBI for the failed bombing.
"So they want to pick things that are iconic that perhaps have a lot of people so they can increase the body count. Anything to make it as dramatic as possible," says the report.
The source also informed that the terrorist had picked out two dates- Saturday, May 1 and an alternate Saturday, May 8. He had chosen the time of 6.30 pm for the attack, as it would be the most crowded during that time.
The source also remarked that his rapports in Pakistan had suggested him to buy the fireworks, fertilizer and pathfinder over a period of time in order to avoid suspicions.
