Disaster management teams to Mandali and Arakonam
New Delhi, May 19 (ANI): The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued instructions for the movement of two Companies each from NDRF Battalion Mundali and Arakonam along with collapsed structure search and rescue (CSSR) equipments.
According to the Union Home Ministry the teams would be equipped with flood rescue equipment including inflatable boats.
Teams have reached by road for response to cyclone 'Laila'.
Ministry said a total of 438 NDRF personnel along with 64 inflatable boats and search and rescue equipments have been deployed.
All the NDRF teams would be at Vishakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Machhallpatanam, Guntur and Nellore.
Eight boats have been deployed at Prakasham. (ANI)
