Winner of Britain's biggest lottery jackpot claims #84.4m prize

London, May 17 (ANI): The winner of Britain's biggest ever lottery jackpot of 84.4m pounds has come forward to claim his prize.

According to the National Lottery operator, it is not known if the winning ticket belongs to an individual or a syndicate.

The winner could receive the bumper prize from Friday's EuroMillions draw on Monday subject to validation, said a spokesman for Camelot.

No details have been released about the winner, who can decide whether or not to go public.

"We are looking forward to welcoming the lucky ticketholder to our millionaires club which is already 2,400 strong," the Telegraph quoted the spokesman as saying.

It is not known if the winning ticket belongs to an individual or a syndicate.

The ticketholder has been catapulted into first place on the National Lottery Rich List, ahead of Nigel Page and Justine Laycock, from Gloucestershire, who won a 56 million pounds EuroMillions jackpot in February.

The 84.4 million pound prize means the winner would immediately become the 789th richest person in the country, according to the Sunday Times Rich List 2010.

And he would be ranked just below singer Robbie Williams and Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts, who are both worth 85 million pounds. (ANI)
