Larsen &Tourbo Q4 net profit surges 44 per cent

Mumbai, May 17: Riding on good sales and inflow of orders, the engineering major Larsen and Tourbo posted a 44 per cent surge in its net profit for the fourth quarter (Q4) ended Mar 31, 2010.

The Q4 net profit after tax for the quarter under review came up at Rs 1,438 crore, accounting for the 44 per cent growth from the previous quarter.

While the sales grew 28 per cent in the quarter, the order inflow surged a whooping 90 per cent as against the numbers recorded in the third quarter.

On a yearly basis, L&T's profit stood at Rs 4,376 crore, accounting for a growth of 26 per cent.

Releasing the quarterly data on Monday, May 17, the company also announced that the board of directors has recommended a dividend of Rs 12.50 per equity share.
