Maoists kill 6 civilians in Chattisgarh

Raipur, May 16: 6 civilians, including a village head were killed by the Maoists in Chhattisgarh's Rajnandgaon district on charges of spying, police said on Sunday, May 16.

Chhattisgarh Director General of Police Vishwa Ranjan said that the bodies of the victims with their throats slit, were found in a forested area of Manpur locality in Uchapur village in Rajnandgaon, about 175 km from Raipur.

The victims, including the villager head were kidnapped on two days ago by armed Naxals, suspecting them to be police informers.
