Jaya TV drops Khushboo's show for joining DMK
Chennai, May 16: Irked at her decision of joining the ruling DMK, pro-AIADMK channel 'Jaya TV' has dropped the 9-year-old popular game show hosted by the South Indian actress Khushboo.
Jaya TV, which is runy brelatives of Sasikala, a close associate of AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa, has stopped broadcasting the popular reality show 'Jackpot' hosted by Khushboo.
According to Jaya TV sources, the show was taken off air in keeping with the channel's policy to severe ties with people having links with DMK.
They said that the channel had stopped telecasting films which were scripted by Chief Minister and DMK chief M Karunanidhi.
In reaction to the incident, Khusboo said that the move did not come as a surprise and she had anticipated such reaction when she had joined DMK on Friday, May 14.
