Terror threat forces Red Cross to restrict staff movement in Balochistan
Quetta, May 15 (ANI): The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has asked its staff to restrict their movement in Balochistan following a terror threat.
Adrian Zimmermann, ICRC's head of sub-delegation, while rejecting reports that the Red Cross has closed its offices in Quetta, said the organisation is continuing its work in the provincial capital, but its activities have been curtailed.
"The ICRC continues to work in Quetta, but its activities have been restricted," The Daily Times quoted Zimmermann, as saying.
He refused to comment further, saying the issue is under investigation.
"Law enforcement agencies are investigating the matter, thus we are not in a position to comment about the significance of the threat," Zimmermann added. (ANI)
