No threat in the suspicious car: Police

New York, May 14: New York authorities investigating the suspicious vehicle, which was spotted near Union Square, said that nothing threatening was found in the car. Three buildings were evacuated and some streets were blocked as the part of investigation.

A car, which was parked in front of the headquarters of the electric utility Con Edison, was inspected by police using a remote controlled robot on Friday May 14, reports CNN.

Police had raided three areas in the north east part of United States, as a part of New York Times Square bombing attempted on May 1.

The officials said that they had got the information about a smuggling network, which might be also behind the Times Square attack. They also had arrested a Pakistani-born US citizen Faisal Shahzad on charge of attempt to use a weapon of mass destruction.
