Mysore airport inauguration on May 15
Mysore, May 14: Mysore airport will be inaugurated on Saturday, May 15, by Praful Patel, the Union Minister of Civil Aviation. Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yedyurappa, Foreign Affairs Minister S M Krishna and Law Minister Veerappa Moily will be the chief guests for the function.
The flight services being introduced on the same day are not yet confirmed. Yedyurappa informed the media that the discussions with the aviation companies are still going on. Passengers will have to wait a few more months for the regular commercial operations.
The flight service companies like Kingfisher, Air India and a few others are keen to provide services from Mysore, said V Madhu, the Principal Secretary for Infrastructure Development. They are ready to enable domestic services from Mysore to other cities in the country including Mumbai and Delhi.
