MP bus mishap: 25 people die of electrocution
Mandla, May 14: Atleast 25 people were killed in Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh on Friday, May 14, when a high-voltage wire fell on the bus in which they were travelling.
The mishap took place near Goplapura village, when the bus carrying a marriage party reportedly hit a pole consisting of high-tension wires, which resulted in the wires falling on the bus.
The people inside the bus were electrocuted.
Inspector General of Police Balaghat, CV Muniraju, who confirmed the report, said that the victims are being rushed to the hospital.
"Around 20-25 persons have died in the incident. The injured are being rushed to Mandla district hospital," he said.
