Desai's judicial custody extended by 14 days
New Delhi, May 14: Delhi court extended the judicial custody of Ketan Desai, the former president of Medical Council of India, along with the three others, by 14 days.
Desai and three others, J P Singh, Sukhwinder Singh and Kanwaljit Singh were sent under custody till May 28, by the Additional Sessions Judge O P Saini.
CBI had requested the court for the same as the investigation of the case was not completed. The court had earlier adjourned the bail plea of Sukhwinder Singh and Kanwaljit Singh for May 28.
They were arrested by CBI on Apr 22, for accepting bribery to allow permission to the Gyan Sagar Medical College based in Punjab to recruit a new batch without having the essential infrastructure.
