Congress slams Gadkari over 'dog' remark

Congress slams Gadkari over 'dog' remark
New Delhi, May 13: Using the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President's unparliamentary language as a weapon, Congress has said that its earlier contention that Nitin Gadkari's stature was not of a national politician has been now justified.

“It is highly derogatory language. But we are not surprised... Soon after Gadkari was made BJP President, it was said that his stature was not of a national politician. He is justifying this impression with this kind of language," party spokesman Shakeel Ahmed said.

Ahmed's colleague Jayanthi Natarajan dubbed Mr Gadkari"s remarks as 'shocking and outrageous'
and sought a national apology from Gadkari.

Gadkari has already apologised for making derogatory remarks against RJD leader Lalu Prasad and SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav.

On Wednesday, May 12, Gadkari had called the Yadav's 'dogs' while addressing a rally.
