Gates denies promises to help Amethi
Patna, May 13: Bill Gates, who visited Amethi with the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, denied the media reports about his promises to help the area for the progress of Information and Technology.
Microsoft Chairman said that the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation gives more focus to aid the eradication of infectious diseases, including diarrhea diseases, tuberculosis, pneumonia and Kala-Azar in Bihar, reports The Hindu.
“I did not make any promise in the IT sector in Amethi ... In fact, I have not spoken anything on the IT during the past one week," says Mr Gates to the journalists in India.
Mr Gates who also toured Rae Bareli on Tuesday, May 11 had a glimpse at the social development in the Gandhi constituencies.
