Gates promises to developed Amethi into an IT Hub

Fursatganj (Uttar Pradesh): Amethi's high profile visitor, Microsoft chairman Bill Gates has promised to developed the area as an IT hub.

Gates, who landed in Amethi with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi drove Bahadurpur village in Jais town.

Addressing gathering of the Rajiv Gandhi Mahila Vikas Pariyojna, a self-help group of women, the Microsoft chairman stressed upon the importance of computer education.

Gates promsied to put in his best efforts to developed Amethi, a Lok Sabha constituency represented by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and the adjoining Rae Bareli, which is represented Congress President Sonia Gandhi, into an IT hub.

The Congress leader and Gates is expected to visit a number of villages and seek the various development works that has been done in Amethi.
