SC to hear Tiwari's paternity case
New Delhi, May 10: The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear the petition of former Andhra Pradesh Governor N D Tiwari, challenging the paternity case which was filed against him by Rohit Shekhar, who claims to be his son.
Tiwari had approached the apex court after the Delhi High Court rejected his plea seeking the qaushing of the case against him.
A division bench of the Court has indicated that the Tiwari could be asked to undergo a DNA test to decide on the case.
On Nov 3, 2009, Justice S N Dhingra, allowed the dismissal of the paternity suit filed by Shekhar stating that the suit was non-maintainable.
Tiwari resigned as the former Governor of Andhra Pradesh after a video showing him in a compromising position with three women was aired by local news channel.
