SC allows Reddy brothers to resume mining
New Delhi, May 10: In a minor relief to the Reddy brothers, the Supreme Court on Monday, May 10 has allowed Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC) owned by Karnataka Ministers-G Janardhana Reddy and G Karunakara Reddy, to carry out mining activities in Anantpur district in Andhra Pradesh.
However, the relief by the apex court comes with a few guidelines. The Reddy brothers has been banned from carrying out mining activities in the disputed areas.
The Court has directed the Reddy brothers not to carry out mining activities within 150 meters across Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka border.
Border fencing will be done by the Survey of India.
