Post-Godhra riots: Togadia appears before SIT
Gandhinagar, May 10: International General Secretary of VHP, Praveen Togadia appeared before the Special Investigation Team (SIT), which is investigating the 2002 riots case on Monday, May 10.
Togadia, accompanied by many VHP activists, arrived in the SIT office in block number 11 of Old Secretariat campus around 11 am.
" I don"t know what the complaint is about because despite making several requests, I was not given copy of the complaint," he told reporters at the VHP headquarters before leaving for the questioning.
He was summoned by SIT for questioning on Apr 19, following a petition filed by Zakia Jaffery, wife of slain ex-MP Ehsan Jaffery. However, he failed to turn up on that day.
100 activists, including sadhus gathered outside the office and sang bhagans after Togadia went inside the SIT office.
