Ash clouds continue to choke Euro air space
London, May 10: Volcanic ash clouds continue to cause chaos in the European airspace. While countries like Italy and Germany have resumed flight operations, parts of Portugal, Spain, Austria and the UK continue to be choked.
Hundreds of flights were cancelled last week after the Icelandic volcano spewed more ash into the skies. The ash from the erupting volcano under the Eyjafjallajokull glacier began dirupting flight operations in Apr 2010.
Currently, Portugal is the country which seems to be worst affected by the ash. Over 200 flights were grounded over the weekend and the air operations continue to be supended.
Iceland, the Atlantic and Spain are also reeling under the ash clouds.
