Karnataka PUC results 2010 declared
Bangalore, May 6: The Pre-University Education Board of Karnataka has declared the results of second PUC exam for the year 2010.
The results were released in the press conference held by the Primary and Higher Education Minister Vishwanath Hegde Kageri and Director of PU board S Shankarnarayana on Thursday, May 6 evening.
The over-all pass percentage for the year stands at 49.9 per cent while the pass percentage of the students, who attempted the exams for the first time, has come up at 61.94 per cent.
As always, the girl students outshone with a pass percentage of 67.1 per cent versus the 56 per cent of the boys. Students from urban areas have scored higher than those from the rural backgrounds.
Udupi emerged as the district with the highest pass percentage of 89.43 per cent, followed by Dakshina Kannada district with pass percentage of 88.93 per cent.
The students will be able to avail their results in few hours as the release have been released to be published online. Since the websites take about two to three hours to process the data and publish it, the results is expected to be live by 7 pm.
The students can go to colleges to obtain their results on Friday, May 7.
The results can also be availed through SMS. BSNL subscribers can SMS PUC roll number to 5532 to obtain the results.
